What would cleaning your building actually cost?
Most cleaning companies won’t give you a number until they’ve been to your building. Fair enough — but you deserve a ballpark before you spend anyone’s time. Answer six questions and you’ll have one.
This runs the same arithmetic we’d run at a walkthrough: how long your building takes to clean properly, multiplied by what that time costs. It is an estimate, and we say so plainly — the walkthrough is what turns it into a written price.
About these numbers
How accurate is this?
It’s built on the same time model we use to price real accounts: how many square feet of each floor type, how many fixtures, how long each takes, and how often we come. For a straightforward building it usually lands close.
Where it drifts is buildings with something unusual — heavy grit at the entrances, restrooms that need more than a standard clean, security procedures that add time every visit. That’s what the walkthrough catches.
Why is there a range instead of one number?
Because giving you one number from a form would be pretending to a precision we don’t have. The range is honest about what an estimate can know. Anyone who quotes you an exact figure without seeing the building is guessing, and you’ll find out how badly in month three.
Does the price include supplies?
Yes. The estimate includes consumables and equipment. If you’d rather supply your own paper and soap, tell us at the walkthrough and it comes out of the price.
Why is sales tax shown separately?
Because Pennsylvania taxes commercial cleaning services at 6% and you should see it rather than find it on the first invoice. It’s on the estimate for the same reason it’ll be on the quote.
